Our Leadership Team

Fr. Rohan Lobo, India/Germany

Fr Rohan grew up in Mumbai, India. He graduated in Economics and worked as a trainer in the outsourcing industry specialising in communications, moderation, stress and time management along with customer services. He arrived in Europe in 2007 to join the Emmanuel School of Mission, Altötting as a student as is now its director. He was formed as a priest in both Brussels and Munich and ordained in 2016. He has served in two parishes in the diocese of Munich. He is currently training to be a systemic counsellor. Three words that describe him well are adaptable, humorous and resourceful.

Darren Sheridan , United Kingdom

Darren has a wealth of experience in education, music, and mission. He has taught at all levels of education in both state and private institutions and has also served as a director of evangelisation in the heart of London. He has trained educators and young adults around the world in faith formation, liturgy and music. He is an active media composer and songwriter with several published works. Over a decade ago, Darren attended the Emmanuel School of Mission in Rome where he discovered his zeal for spreading the Gospel through new and creative means. Three words that describe him well are creative, optimistic, and enterprising.

Liesa Bartel , Germany

Liesa holds a degree in International Cultural and Business Studies and has travelled extensively. As a multilinguist, she is excited to continue exploring her interests in languages and cultures at the Josefsburg, Altötting. In 2020/21, Liesa attended Rejoice, Emmanuel School of Mission which strengthened her faith and helped her to place Jesus at the centre of her life. Currently, she works as the Logistics Manager for the Missions and is responsible for keeping the house running smoothly. Three words that describe her well are joyful, detail oriented, and reliable.

Jean, France (22 Years Old)

For me, mission means passing on what I have received and helping my neighbours to discover the face of Christ. I came to Rejoice to deepen my faith, discover other cultures and put my musical talents at the service of my brothers and sisters. I bring my joy and enthusiasm as well as my musical skills in piano, guitar and singing

Aurelia, Austria (19 Years Old)

For me, mission is to show people that it is possible to live a life of freedom and pure joy. I came to Rejoice to discover ways of using music and creativity to spread the Good News. I bring both joy and creativity.

Tiphaine, France (21 Years Old)

For me, mission is to bring joy and the Good News to the world. I came to Rejoice to deepen my relationship with God and develop my musical talents. I bring my piano skills, my singing voice (soprano and alto) and my skills as a flutist and cajonist.

Adam, Hungarian/ Romanian (19 Years Old)

For me, mission means love. Loving another means giving everything; the best I can give is Jesus himself. I came to Rejoice because I had a strong desire to give a year to the Lord, to spend time with Him and to lead others to Him. I bring my guitar, my voice, my creativity, and an open heart.

Michaela, Czech (25 Years Old)

For me, mission is to connect with others, to listen to them and to share how God can be part of our lives. I came to Rejoice to deepen my relationship with God, to learn and to use my musical gifts and talents for mission with other young adults within an international context. Luca , Hungarian (19 Years Old)

For me, mission is to share the love of God with others so that they can experience it too. I came to Rejoice to discover my calling. I want to learn more about faith, deepen my relationship with God and create something beautiful together with others. I bring with me the desire to share all the Lord has done and is doing in my life, including my enthusiasm to sing, make music, dance, and work as a team.

For me, mission is to step out of my comfort zone. I've never done anything like this before, but I think this is basically what every Christian should do!
